Ok, so I'm going to try my hand at blogging. I guess it's kind of like writing a diary (which I definately wrote a lot of back in the day). I thought I'd start off telling you a bit about myself. I'm a single mom of two most amazing children. They are my world. Being a mom is the most amazing job in the world - hardest job for sure, but definately the most rewarding by far.
I am definately an avid book reader. Working in the book field for the last 15 years I have
quite a substantial book collection. I like pretty much all genres but
probably my most favourite is mystery/thriller/horror. I also love paranormal/sci-fi/fantasy. On average I read about 2 books a week.
I work full time at BookCloseouts.com. The best job in the world. BookCloseouts.com is one of North America's largest online retail sellers of Bargain Books. I have been with the company since 1997. Starting off as a cashier in our retail store. I have since had the amazing opportunity to move my way around including the following positions: receptionist, customer service rep, customer service director, accounting dept, and my latest role as social media manager. This past year 2011-2012, I brought our social presence to facebook, twitter, google+, goodreads and other social media venues. I love everything about my job - the books, the challenge, the social aspect, the books oh um I said that already =)
So that's me in a nutshell. Through this blog I'm going to keep you updated on new arrivals, promotions, contests, events and anything else that may be exciting. Please leave any comments/suggestions about what you'd like to see, if I'm doing a good job/bad job (just be gentle), or just to say hi!
